You would have thought that with all the enforced time we have during the lockdowns we would have managed to publish a few more of our past travel stories in the last couple of months. It's amazing how busy it seems when there really isn't anything to do.

Well, we have produced three more stories from our trip to Peru in 2013. They are of our trips to the jungles of the Amazon Basin, the fabulous Lake Titicaca and our all-time favourite Machu Picchu. Have a look at the links below to see what they were like.

As for future plans, there is still so much uncertainty about when we can travel again. Melbourne has gone back into stricter lockdown to control a second peak in case numbers. Interstate borders are closed to Victorians, except for the most restricted circumstances. Tourism isn't one of them.

But one day we'll be able to get going again, so options are being found and early plans can be made. It's most likely that our next trip will be within Australia. We've long had plans for extended road trips through our own wonderful country. We're looking to upgrade our Navara to a more comfortable, but still capable, SUV. And we're looking at off-road caravans as our mobile home for a while.

As for international plans, we're now thinking the timing will be late 2021 to early 2022 (sounds like forever away!). The two ideas that stand out are a white Christmas in Europe or summer trekking in Patagonia.

Never stop planning!
