Wales was on our destination list for one main reason; the walking. After leaving Nat and Dom in Penzance we headed north to Wales, first staying in the south to do a walk in Brecon Beacons National Park. Brecon Beacons is where the British SAS Commandos are based, although our adventure was more scenic and less Bear Grylls.

After a couple of nights there, we drove further north to Snowdonia National Park, staying at the base of Mount Snowden and doing two walks, as well as seeing some other sights.

See the story of the Welsh part of our adventure by clicking on the picture. And keep track of where we are, where we've been and where we are going by zooming in on the map.

Next stop, the Cotswolds.

  • Hi Jan and Chris
Just loving your guided tour through the countryside. The photos are amazing. I can’t quite get my head around how much preparation has gone into planning the trip. It must be very satisfying to see it unfold in real time. We have welcomed our Grandson, Mitchell into the family. He was 5 weeks early but is going gangbusters.
Looking forward to the next instalment. Julie

    • Glad to hear that Col and you are enjoying the stories. Plenty more to come. The secret to the planning was all those endless days in lockdown with nothing better to do!

Congratulations on the new Grandson, although you are too young to have one 🙂
