After leaving London and family behind we flew to Hong Kong where we had a one-night stopover. Neither of us had been to Hong Kong for decades. Last time we were there it was still a British colony, and flights threaded their way through apartment towers to land at Kai Tak airport.
Although we were only there for a short time, we were able to see a lot. We also managed to fit in a lovely walk.

Thanks for sharing your stories and photos from your last couple of month trip. It’s wonderful travelling with you via the blog. I’m just wondering why you didn’t spend another couple of nights in Hong Kong? Was it so you’d be home to watch the Saints play the Pies this weekend?
While being home to see the beginning of Saint’s march to the 2026 finals is important, it was more a combination of Jan needing to get back for work, and me being home for my milestone birthday last week. The clan gathered in Palm Cove for an extended weekend of celebrations 🙂
