To celebrate our newfound status as fully-retired pensioners, we are hitting the road again, this time literally. We are just about to begin a winter road trip from our home in Palm Cove, through central Queensland, central and western New South Wales, then down through Victoria to Melbourne to catch up with friends and family.

After a couple of weeks in our old home city, we will make our way back north through different parts of New South Wales and the across to the Queensland coast for the final push back to Palm Cove. There will be a combination of camping and roofed accommodation along the way, and of course, we have mapped out some good day walks. The map shows the planned route, blue markers for the trip down and green for the way back.

We will be posting updates as we go, so keep watching your inboxes!

  • I don’t see a trip to Perth in your itinerary. Please make the necessary adjustments.

  • Good on you pensioners, becoming grey nomads. Have a great time, travelling on the road.
We are grey nomads, travelling the West Coast.
Hopefully you both get over sometime, to the West Coast.
Enjoy time with Ellen and family.
