It has been a long time between posts, but that isn't because we haven't had anything to say. Rather, we've been seeing and doing so much that we haven't had much time to stop, edit the photos and write the stories from all the places we have been.

Our last post closed off with a story about our wonderful stay on the farm at Mount Perry. Our travels since then have taken us more than 1,000 kilometres along the Queensland coast to the tourist capital of the Tropical North at Cairns. The moving around of the last four months has ended with us leasing an apartment at Clifton Beach, where we will stay at least through 2022.

The two stories below cover our many adventures in the Bundaberg/Wide Bay region, and our travels along the Whitsunday Coast from Rockhampton. We checked out some places that our pre-trip research looked like possible retirement destinations, and found a couple of others that might fit the bill. We saw a lot of coastal towns, and spent some time inland in the tropical hinterland as well.

Now that we have settled in, and have access to reliable internet, we will follow up with the final parts of our journey into the tropical north and inland to the Atherton Tablelands. But meanwhile, have a look at the many places we have been in the stories below.

Bundaberg Region, Queensland

Rockhampton to Bowen, Queensland
