Our journey has taken us into southeast Queensland over the last three weeks. The weather has been a little warmer, although it's still winter here too.

We've explored areas around the Sunshine Coast and its hinterland. While we were there we caught up with some more old friends before moving a little further north to the coast around Fraser Island where we found some very nice coastal towns that could be on the list for future retirement plans.

We also experienced a real highlight of the trip so far. Several weeks ago we signed up for an eight-day house sit on a working farm at Mount Perry, about 90 minutes inland from Bundaberg. This is a beautiful part of the world, high quality grazing, cropping and citrus land, and our hosts Shirley and Don were fabulous people to meet. We managed through a challenge or two on the farm, but also took advantage of Jan's improving ankle injury by doing a little bike riding and walking at Cania Gorge National Park.
